Well summer is here. Getting outside to enjoy the weather is becoming less enjoyable each and every humidex warning. The wife has the A/C running on full and wasting that just isn't in my plans. Getting inside to build models is.

 

A Dose of Reality,  not to spoil the idea of model railroading as being a fun hobby, there is probably a couple hobbies that are about as expensive as model railroading: one that comes to immediate mind is rebuilding classic cars and the other RC model cars.  Mind you, I have been involved very heavily in model railroading since 1976 when I was stationed at Fort Riley and leased a house with a nice big basement. 

One of the fun aspects of model railroading is sharing your work with friends and family. Model railroading encompasses more than the trains, the layout is the scenery, the towns, vehicles, whether you are modeling 2009 or 1959 – each item that you choose sets the tone of your layout – it’s your world.

So I am getting into the swing of adding all the old content. At the same time drumming up new content is going very nicely. Our facebook group is so active, it looks as if the non-active folks are getting sick of the "notifications" and leaving the group (20 so far). Oh well, my bet is they never would have joined in anyways.

The All new ModelersGuild has been started and slowly it will come to maturity but as the title says, You gotta start somewhere.
